Sections 42 and 43 of the Infection Protection Act (IfSG) stipulate that persons who come into contact with food in the course of their work must be
instructed in infection protection. This is the prerequisite for obtaining a health certificate in accordance with Section 42 (1) IfSG.
Only with this certificate may you carry out activities in the following areas:
Cafés
restaurants
Kitchens
Restaurants
Canteens
Proof of successful participation in infection protection training must be available from the very first day that you start work. If this is not the case and you have already started work, you can expect serious legal consequences - for you and your employer.
Infection protection training is often also referred to as health training or hygiene training.
